Ganderbal, 11 August 2026: Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal today inaugurated a newly constructed common public lavatory block within the premises of the Mini Secretariat, Ganderbal, aimed at providing clean, hygienic and accessible sanitation facilities to visitors and the general public.
The facility is expected to benefit people visiting the Mini Secretariat for various official purposes and further strengthen sanitation and cleanliness arrangements in the complex.
On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner also led a cleanliness drive under the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, emphasizing the importance of maintaining clean and hygienic public spaces alongside fostering a sense of civic responsibility and national pride.
Officials and staff associated with the Mini Secretariat participated in the cleanliness drive and contributed towards making the premises cleaner and more welcoming for the public.
Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner stressed that cleanliness is a collective responsibility and called upon officials, employees and citizens to adopt responsible waste-management practices and maintain cleanliness in public places.
The initiative reflects the district administration’s continued efforts towards improving public amenities, promoting sanitation and encouraging community participation in cleanliness campaigns under the broader spirit of Har Ghar Tiranga.
