Prof. Ajaz is an accomplished academician with MBA in Marketing and Human Resource Management and a Ph.D. in Human Resource Management. With more than 18 years of experience in teaching, research, and academic administration, he has made significant contributions to the fields of Management, Human Resource Management, Human Resource Development.
A prolific researcher and scholar, Prof. Ajaz has published over 70 research papers in reputed national and international journals and has presented his research at numerous national and international conferences in India and abroad. His academic contributions also include two authored books. He has successfully supervised seven research scholars who have been awarded Ph.D. degrees.
Prof. Ajaz Akbar previously served as Deputy Director, DIQA, from May 2023 to June 2026, during which the University achieved several landmark milestones in quality assurance and institutional excellence. Notably, the University secured the prestigious NAAC A++ Accreditation and earned a place among the Top 10 Public Sector Universities in India in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) rankings.
