The Directorate of Internal Quality Assurance (DIQA) organised a brainstorming session for the Nodal Officers of Departmental Internal Quality Assurance Units (DIQAUs).

The session focused on strengthening quality assurance mechanisms, enhancing coordination across departments, and reinforcing the University’s commitment to academic excellence and institutional growth.

The programme was followed by the release of key University publications prepared by DIQA during the academic year, including the latest editions of University Annual Report, Statistical Digest and PANORAMA. The publications were formally released by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Nilofer Khan, who appreciated DIQA’s efforts in documenting and disseminating the University’s achievements and performance indicators through these publications.

She highlighted the importance of quality assurance and data-driven decision-making in enhancing academic and administrative standards and reiterated the University’s commitment to achieving higher benchmarks of institutional excellence.

Addressing the participants, Director DIQA, Prof. M. A. Shah, lauded the contribution of Nodal Officers in facilitating institutional assessment and accreditation processes, particularly NAAC accreditation and NIRF rankings. He underscored the significance of systematic documentation, data management and timely communication of departmental achievements and best practices in fostering a robust quality culture across the University.

Earlier, Deputy Director DIQA, Prof. Aijaz Akbar, welcomed the participants and outlined the restructured framework, functioning and responsibilities of the Departmental Internal Quality Assurance Units.

The interactive session witnessed active participation from the Nodal Officers, who shared valuable suggestions and highlighted challenges aimed at further strengthening the University’s quality assurance ecosystem.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Mr Wasim Ali, Assistant Technical Officer, DIQA.
