Budgam, June 3: Renowned Social Activist and Youth Leader Muzamil Mehmood was honoured with the Award of Excellence by SSP Traffic Srinagar, Ajaz Ahmad Bhat IPS, for successfully conducting the MPL T20 Cricket Tournament under the Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyan.
The tournament witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 32 cricket teams from different areas of District Budgam and aimed to engage youth in positive and constructive activities through sports.
Muzamil Mehmood, who is actively working as a sports activist in Budgam, has been consistently organizing sports and awareness activities including cricket tournaments, cycle road races, marathons, and martial arts events to promote fitness, discipline, and unity among the youth.
Speaking on the occasion, Muzamil Mehmood reiterated his commitment towards protecting the younger generation from drug abuse, anti-social activities, and other immoral practices by encouraging them to participate in sports and community-building initiatives.
The recognition by SSP Traffic Srinagar serves as an appreciation of his continuous efforts in empowering youth and strengthening the message of a drug-free and responsible society under the Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyan.
