To Grace Kargil Vijay Diwas celebrations at Kargil War Memorial shortly; honours bravery and dedication of Indian Army personnel

Zojila, July 25 : Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday visited the iconic Zojila Pass, where he interacted with and posed for photographs alongside Indian Army soldiers, honouring their courage, dedication and unwavering service to the nation.
As per news agency JKNS, the Defence Minister lauded the commitment and sacrifices of the Army personnel deployed in the challenging terrain, acknowledging their role in safeguarding the country’s borders under extreme weather and operational conditions.
Officials said Rajnath Singh is now proceeding towards the Kargil War Memorial, where he will shortly participate in the Kargil Vijay Diwas 2026 commemorative event.
The Defence Minister will be paying tributes to the brave soldiers who laid down their lives during the 1999 Kargil War and address the gathering during the solemn ceremony being organised to mark the occasion. (JKNS)
