Army Personnel Perform Yoga at Forward Posts, Forest Belts and High-Altitude Areas; Stress Physical Fitness, Mental Strength and Resilience
Srinagar, June 21 : The White Knight Corps of the Indian Army on Sunday celebrated International Yoga Day 2026 across its area of responsibility, with troops performing yoga at forward locations, high-altitude posts, military stations and remote operational areas across Jammu region.
According to a post shared by White Knight Corps on X, all ranks participated in Yoga Day celebrations from the snow-covered heights of Pir Panjal to the riverine terrain of Akhnoor, Nagrota Military Station, the dense forests of Surankote and Mendhar, the valleys of Doda and Kishtwar, and the forward posts of Rajouri, Poonch and Nowshera.
The Army said that despite challenging terrain and demanding operational environments, troops enthusiastically observed the occasion and embraced the discipline of yoga to promote physical fitness, mental clarity and inner resilience.
Describing the participants as “Warrior Yogis,” the Corps stated that yoga continues to serve as a vital tool in strengthening the physical and mental well-being of soldiers deployed in difficult conditions.
The White Knight Corps further highlighted that the celebration reflected the spirit of being “balanced in thought, resolute in action and unwavering in service to the nation.”
International Yoga Day is observed every year on June 21 across the globe to promote holistic health, well-being and mindfulness. (JKNS)
