SHOPIAN, OCTOBER 26: Vigilance Awareness Week 2026 commenced across Shopian today with a series of awareness activities aimed at promoting integrity, transparency, accountability and ethical conduct among officials, stakeholders and the general public.
The Vigilance Awareness Week is being observed from October 26 to November 1, 2026, under the theme “Probity for Prosperity.”
As part of the opening-day activities, an Integrity Pledge was administered at Town Hall Shopian.
The event was presided by Additional Deputy Commissioner Shopian, Dr. Zakir Hussain Faaz.
CEO MC and other officers were also present on the occasion.
The participants reaffirmed their commitment to upholding honesty, integrity, transparency and accountability in the discharge of their responsibilities and contributing towards a corruption-free society.
Similar activities were also organised at various locations across Shopian, with officials, employees and members of the community participating in initiatives aimed at creating greater awareness about ethical governance, prevention of corruption and the importance of probity in public life.
The week-long observance will feature various awareness programmes, outreach activities, sensitisation sessions and other initiatives to engage employees, stakeholders, students and citizens on issues relating to integrity, transparency and accountability.
