Srinagar, August 28: Sh. M.K. Sinha, IPS, has taken over the charge of Additional Director General of Police (ADG) CID, Jammu & Kashmir, from Sh. Nitish Kumar, IPS, who has been transferred and posted as ADG Armed Police, J&K.
Soon after assuming charge, Sh. M.K. Sinha held a meeting with senior officers of CID J&K and reviewed the overall functioning of the intelligence wing. He also took stock of various activities and functioning of the department.
Sh. M.K. Sinha is a 1996-batch IPS officer and was serving as ADG (HQR) at Police Headquarters, J&K, prior to his new assignment.
Sh. Nitish Kumar, a 1999-batch IPS officer, was serving as ADG CID/Director SIA, J&K, before being transferred as ADG Armed Police, J&K.
Senior officers of CID Headquarters, J&K, welcomed the new ADG CID and assured him of their full cooperation and commitment in discharging their duties. They also wished outgoing ADG Nitish Kumar a successful tenure in his new assignment as ADG Armed Police, J&K.
