SAMBA, May 20: Deputy Commissioner Samba Ayushi Sudan today chaired the Block Diwas programme at village Suchani in Vijaypur and took stock of developmental issues and public grievances of the local residents.
People from the Panchayat and adjoining areas projected wide range of demands and issues related to road connectivity, water supply, playground facilities, library infrastructure and other essential civic amenities. The Deputy Commissioner listened patiently to the grievances and assured the public that all genuine issues would be addressed in a time-bound manner.
Reiterating the administration’s commitment towards responsive governance and grassroots development, the DC directed the concerned officers to take immediate action on the issues raised and ensure speedy execution of developmental works.
She stressed that negligence or unnecessary delay in implementation of public welfare projects would be viewed seriously and the concerned functionaries would be held accountable for the same.
The Deputy Commissioner also emphasized the need for maintaining quality standards in the execution of ongoing and proposed infrastructure development works.
Interacting with the local youth and residents, the DC encouraged them to take advantage of the self-employment and livelihood generation schemes being implemented by the Government. She highlighted the importance of public participation and collective efforts in accelerating the pace of development and improving living standards in rural areas.
Among others, Chief Planning Officer Samba Kasturi Lal, SDM Vijaypur, ACD Samba and officers of various departments were present during the programme.
