Ganderbal, October 14: Residents of Ganderbal town have been facing severe inconvenience as electricity supply remained disrupted since morning on Wednesday.
The prolonged outage has affected households, shops, offices, and essential services across the town, with locals complaining that no prior notice was issued by the concerned department.
Residents said the power failure has caused particular hardship to students, traders, and people dependent on electricity for daily work. Several areas reportedly remained without supply for hours, forcing people to use alternative sources of light.
Locals have appealed to the Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) and district administration to restore electricity immediately and ensure an uninterrupted supply in future.
An official response on the cause of the outage and expected restoration time was not immediately available.
