Ganderbal, June 21 In a remarkable display of faith and spiritual fervour, thousands of devotees converged at the revered Kheer Bhawani Temple on Sunday to participate in a grand Aarti ceremony ahead of the annual Kheer Bhawani Mela.
As evening descended over Tulmulla, the historic shrine came alive with the glow of countless lamps, while devotional hymns and prayers dedicated to Goddess Ragnya Devi echoed across the temple premises. Devotees from various parts of Jammu and Kashmir and other regions of the country gathered to seek blessings and take part in the sacred rituals.
The grand Aarti transformed the shrine into a breathtaking spectacle of light and devotion, underscoring the deep spiritual significance of the occasion and the enduring bond of the Kashmiri Pandit community with the revered shrine.
Authorities have put in place elaborate arrangements, including security, healthcare, transportation, sanitation, and other essential services, to ensure the smooth conduct of the annual mela.
Devotees offered prayers for peace, prosperity, and communal harmony, expressing hope for a brighter future and continued harmony in the region.
Celebrated on the auspicious occasion of Jyeshtha Ashtami, the annual Kheer Bhawani Mela remains one of the most significant religious events for Kashmiri Pandits and a vibrant symbol of Kashmir’s rich spiritual and cultural heritage.
