SRINAGAR, MAY 20: Secretary, Hospitality & Protocol, Avny Lavasa, today conducted a detailed on-spot inspection of the newly constructed Additional Accommodation Facility at Circuit House Srinagar in view of its likely inauguration during the month of June, 2026.

Director, Hospitality & Protocol Department, Ashwani Khajuria, Deputy Director, Assistant Director Hospitality & Protocol Kashmir and officers, and other executing and allied agencies associated with the project were present.

During the inspection, the Secretary reviewed the overall progress and preparedness of the newly constructed accommodation block comprising 12 suites and 6 guest rooms equipped with modern amenities and allied infrastructure aimed at augmenting the hospitality capacity of the department.

While reviewing the final finishing arrangements, Avny Lavasa directed all the concerned executing and allied agencies to undertake and complete the remaining minor landscaping, beautification and allied works on a war-footing basis so as to ensure seamless commissioning of the facility well ahead of its proposed inauguration next month.

Director, Hospitality & Protocol Department, briefed the Secretary about the salient features and present status of the project and informed that the commissioning of the Additional Accommodation Facility would substantially enhance the lodging capacity at Circuit House Srinagar and significantly ease the operational burden on the existing accommodation infrastructure, particularly during high-level visits and peak occupancy periods.

Avny Lavasa appreciated the concerted efforts put in by the Hospitality & Protocol Department and all the allied executing agencies in ensuring the completion of the prestigious project and observed that the commissioning of the Additional Accommodation Facility would significantly augment the existing hospitality infrastructure and further strengthen the quality of hospitality services being extended to visiting dignitaries and guests.
