Doda, July 07 : Multiple locations in Thathri area of Doda district witnessed fresh flash floods on Tuesday, causing extensive damage to property and disrupting normal life.
Officials told GNS that several structures in Thathri town were damaged due to the massive flood. Property worth lakhs of rupees is estimated to have been affected.
The National Highway was also blocked following the floods, leading to traffic disruption and inconvenience to commuters.
Authorities said they are assessing the situation on the ground, while restoration and clearance work is underway to restore connectivity and normalcy in the affected areas.
Yesterday also, road connectivity was disrupted in the district after a flash flood/ mudslide blocked the road at Prem Nagar in Doda.(GNS)
