GANDERBAL 26TH JUNE, 2026: In view of the forthcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2026, a comprehensive briefing session was held today at the Conference Hall, Police Training School (PTS) Manigam, during which officers of Jammu Kashmir Police, CAPF and JKAP deployed for SANJY 2026 were briefed about the SANJY deployment Plan of District Ganderbal being put in place for the smooth, safe and peaceful conduct of SHREE AMARNATH JI YATRA-2026.
Inspector General of Police, Kashmir Zone, Shri V.K. Birdi-IPS, who was accompanied by DIG Central Kashmir Range, Shri Rajiv Omprakash Pande-IPS and DIG Armed Kashmir, Shri Maqsood-Ul-Zaman (IPS) briefed the officers about the sensitivity of the event and adherence of ARCP of SANJY 2026 Baltal Axis.
SSP Ganderbal, Shri Sudhanshu Dhama-IPS, along with other officers of District Police Ganderbal also explained at length the deployment plan put in place for SANJY 2026 along Baltal Axis and also briefed the participants about the Operational and situational awareness in their respective area of responsibility. All the officers were also briefed about various contingency plans in case of related exigencies.
Officers who delivered in the briefing session put strong focus on route security, strict cut-off timing enforcement, area domination, night area domination, surveillance, traffic management, coordination among security agencies, emergency response mechanisms and ensuring hassle-free movement of pilgrims.
The IGP Kashmir emphasized the need for close coordination, proactive measures and effective communication among all stakeholders to ensure foolproof security arrangements throughout the Yatra period.
The officers reiterated their commitment towards providing a safe, secure and peaceful environment for the devotees participating in Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2026, while ensuring seamless arrangements along the Yatra route.
