Budgam, June 2026: The Grand Finale of the Muzamil Premier League (MPL) T20 Cricket Tournament 2nd Edition 2026 was successfully held under the Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyan.The tournament was organized by renowned Social Activist and Youth Leader Muzamil Mehmood with the objective of promoting sports and creating awareness against drug abuse among youth.
A total of 32 teams from different areas of District Budgam participated in the tournament, making it one of the largest youth sporting events in the district.The tournament witnessed enthusiastic participation and support from players, sports lovers, and local residents.
Speaking on the occasion, Muzamil Mehmood emphasized the importance of sports in shaping a disciplined, healthy, and responsible generation. He stated that sports help youth channel their energy in a positive direction, develop leadership qualities and teamwork, and stay away from drugs and other social evils.
During the grand finale, trophies and medals were distributed among the winning and participating players. Muzamil Mehmood also highlighted the significance of sports education and skill development in building a stronger and more progressive society.
The event concluded with appreciation for all participating teams, organizers, volunteers, and supporters who contributed to the grand success of the tournament. The initiative was widely praised as a positive step towards youth empowerment and a drug-free society.
